Approved Protein List
1 portion = approx. 20 grams of protein = 7 oz. of fish & seafood or 5 oz. of other lean meats.
Poultry: 2 eggs, skinless chicken, turkey, quail and other wild birds.
Lean Meats: beef, veal, pork, lamb and wild game, filet, flank, lean ground sirloin, tenderloin, roast, round, rump, venison (deer), frog legs, ostrich, etc.
Fish: bass, brill, cod, devil fish, gudgeon (blob), haddock, hake, halibut, perch, pike, ray, salmon, shark, smelt, red snapper, sole, swordfish, trout, tuna, turbot, whiting, etc.
Seafood: clams, crab, lobster, mussels, oysters, scallops, scampi, shrimp, squid, etc.
Preparation: Broiled, baked, grilled, poached, steamed, roasted, or lightly sautéed. Nothing fried!
